Four Excel Tips to Increase Productivity

November 24, 2014 by Mark Leave a Comment

Excel Tip #4: Use CTRL + Page Down and CTRL + Page Up

If you find yourself constantly switching between two tabs in your workbook you might find your arm getting tired after moving from the keyboard to the mouse time and time again. Luckily there is an easy way to navigate between tabs in your workbook by using a simple keyboard shortcut.

To navigate to other tabs to the right of the current active tab, press CTRL + Page Down on your keyboard. You will have to repeat this for each tab you want to move to the right. If you need to navigate between Sheet1 and Sheet3, you would press CTRL + Page Down twice once to move to Sheet2, and a second time to move to Sheet3.

To navigate to other tabs to the left of the current active tab, press CTRL + Page Up on your keyboard. This works the same way as CTRL + Page Down. If you are on Sheet3 and want to move to Sheet1, you would press CTRL + Page Up twice. Once to move to Sheet2, and a second time to move to Sheet1.
